About Flute & Chamber Orchestra

While working as Organist and Assistant Director of Music at a large Methodist church in Hacienda Heights, CA, Kathleen Mayne had the unique and wonderful opportunity to compose for a talented flutist from the church community who would perform each December with a chamber orchestra hired to accompany a community chorus singing Handel’s Messiah.  It was this singular experience that began her career as a composer for flutes.  Thank you Dr. Brian Logan!, the flutist who performed and brought her music to life.  Those concert works are:
